My wife basically forced me to go here. It is out of our normal price range for a getaway. It was raining and the muddy gravel road driving in reinforced my initial thoughts. Little did I realize that the next two nights would be about as good as any we ever spent away. The cabin was really nice. The kitchen was very well stocked, and Vicky, the caretaker, was as nice as we could ever expect. We were the only renters there for our two nights and the only person we saw in two days was Vicky. The property was well maintained and the riverside chairs and fire ring were just perfect under the full moon.
River Ranch is the perfect place to get away and relax. Rustic decor with an elegant touch in every room. The main living room was so cozy with a fire in the fireplace and a handy throw to snuggle under. Oh how I miss my Chai lattes every morning from the little coffee bar set-up by the kitchen! It was too cold to grill, but the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. My favorite part was enjoying the view from the large deck on the back of the house. I could watch the river flowing past for hours during the day and enjoy the tranquility of the moon and stars at night. There was no better way to re-energize for the hustle and bustle of the holidays and I look forward to going back!
What a fantastic stay this was. The scenery was breathtaking and secluded. The house was spacious, yet rustic and accommodating. Went for a couples weekend, going back for a romantic stay with my husband!
River Ranch Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful modern meets rustic cabin in the woods near the water that's a perfect peaceful, quiet, quaint place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Gods nature, and spend time with those you love most.
We can't wait to go back for another romantic getaway.
