Just spent the night at the Okatoma Rv Resort just outside Hattiesburg, MS. Nice quiet park set back in the woods. Has their own private catch and release pond for those who like to fish. The staff in the office are very friendly and accommodating.
My family and I had to evacuate because of Hurricane Irma. Saw this gem on Google and had good reviews. Decided to try it out and we loved it. Very friendly people, family oriented, the lake in the middle had ducks the children could feed, ride bikes around, full hookup and the guy who works in the office was super nice. They were booked up the next day so we could only stay one night but he made phone calls to try and find us another place to setup which he didn't have to do. Highly recommend visiting this place!! Will visit again
Great overnight stay with full hook up for $30. Extremely quiet (12.23). Barry is a great guy.
Stayed 2 nights in travel trailer. Don't let first impression of office fool you, park is nice n quiet, clean pool, multiple ponds for fishing. Bathhouse could use some updates but it's adequate. Bring your necessities along, not really any store. Bug spray too, with the ponds n no breeze, bugs were bad at night. If possible use directions from I 49. We got there from I 59, a bit of back road.
As the other reviews note (as does their website), your GPS can lead you astray. We knew that coming in, and found it with no problem. The park is pretty and well equipped, although as overnighters, we got in late and left early. Not to mention it was raining too much to explore. The bathhouse was undergoing renovations, and was marginally functional at the time. Lots of ducks in the lake; wish the rain would have let us get close to them! We checked the others; this is by far the best park in the area.
