But the lack of staff assistance left me feeling so disappointed. It didn't feel like custom or unique experience.
When Sandra got there, we got the toilet paper and I helped her load up the linens into her vehicle. Then she began to ask me questions about how many tables we needed, which linens were going where, and where the cake table was, etc. I was shocked because the Barn at Bridlewood team should have already known this information, and I didn't want to bother my sister (the bride) with all this as she was getting ready on her wedding day!
Beautiful location for events such as weddings and reunions. Very nice!
The owner told us, quote, "There should be someone there to help you with that." That person was Sandra and she was clueless. There were no written instructions for this.
There was a refrigerator to store whatever we needed but no bridal brunch was provided or served the morning of the wedding so we were on our own, and the property is several miles from any restaurants or stores...
Linens are NOT included. We had to order linens elsewhere and take them with us to the venue.
I called the "property manager," Sandra, that morning because we ran out of toilet paper and she said she meant to bring it over last night but she forgot. I also mentioned to her that I brought the linens and Sandra said she would be over soon to pick them up.
Thank you for your time.
For all the reasons mentioned above, I'm giving this venue 2 stars.
I am extremely disappointed to write this review after hearing so many wonderful things about this venue. I expected so much more than what was provided. However, I understand this isn't a reflection of every single wedding being held there. That being said, I hope you (the owner) take my review to heart and consider the way you do business to improve your clients experience so this doesn't happen to another bride...
Fast forward to 1 hour before the wedding...
I hope you will take everything I've said into consideration and know that I'm not being spiteful, I am simply stating the experience I had as a bridesmaid and family of the bride. I hope you use this as an opportunity to improve and I will look forward to seeing more beautiful weddings here in future.
My sister got married there this year. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful but that did not make up for its lack of staff that should have been there to assist with lighting and other issues. We did get it done, but I am disappointed in their lack of knowledge about the property and the wedding plan.
Bottom line: no one knew how to work anything and no one was physically there to help with that whatsoever.
The vendors were good at their jobs individually, so it all came together that way. The property was beautiful and having all our family and friends there to celebrate made it special.
Newly built rustic inspired barn, is a perfect venue for weddings, has cleanly & spacious restrooms with a prep chamber. Great scenery all around and well maintained grounds. A rock path leads from the barn to an outdoor "ceremony" area near the pond under trees lit up with white lights complete with electrical wiring nearby for any amplification needs. The sun also sets behind the ceremony area making it a perfect area for magical photoshoots.
Rehearsal dinner was not included - you had to pay extra.
Very special place for events like weddings. Beautiful!
Nice place for a medium sized dinner/party
All the vendors were there and had their individual things set up.
We had a bridal party of 8 bridesmaids including myself and in order to stay on the property the night before the wedding, you also had to pay extra.
I'll start from the beginning... I understand that The Barn at Bridlewood is not an "all inclusive" venue. If you know that up front and are okay with that, then that's fine...
Sandra also told us a story (in front of the bride) about how she hated the cat on the property and said she sold the previous cat to another bride for $15. She then asked one of our bridesmaids if she wanted to take the cat that was there now! I was really baffled by the whole thing... It was so inappropriate.
Overall...
At the reception, the WiFi was spotty so the music went in and out for a while until my husband figured out how to stabilize it.
Night before the wedding...
My husband had to call the owner and ask where the controls were for the outside sound and lights.
You missed the mark as it was not the service or individuality I was expecting.
*** Reply: Thank you for responding and being so kind to address my concerns! You have a beautiful venue and I wish you all the best.
But the lighting for the ceremony was not set up!
