My family ate here and all of the food was spicy. I couldn't finish my pork chop, my son couldn't eat his shrimp, and my wife's burger was cooked medium. They had to recook it because of being too pink. Then when she did take a bite she said it was way too spicy. $60+ and we left unsatisfied. I don't intend to return again. $12 for 1/2 of a French bread baggett with some melted cheese and bits of crab mixed in is too much. But in their defense that was the only good tasting thing on our table.
Very good food. We have been patrons of this restaurant to ever since they were at their old location on the corner of 49 and Hardy Street. I think their food has changed a little since those days, however I still like to eat there. Their Gambino rolls are phenomenal!
All right, not the price is a little high for the food. While Chesterfield's tried hard to be authentic Cajun cuisine, it lacks the real feel. If you're looking to impress someone new, go for it. Other than that, not so much.
Had a great experience here. We had the pork chops which were huge and came with two of them. The sides were yummy too. Flavorful and not salty like a lot of other places. There was a nice fire on the and we sat outside. Even though it's cold outside they still served us out there! A couple glasses of wine, good food and a nice fire on a cool evening. it was lovely. Best place I've been so far in the hub city. Will be returning!
I called back after ordering a Penthouse salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was very very old and dry. The manager I talked to named Brock was very rude, by telling me I was 15 minutes late, even If I was the chicken should not be cold, grainy and taste like dry wood and it had brunt grill lines in it. My husband and I have been frequently visiting Chestfield's a lot for their fresh food and produce. He even said you can call my manger, Chris Happ which was even more rude. I was just a customer that wanted a quality salad for the money that I paid. If I could give a "0" rating on customer service, I surely would give Brock one. I was appalled at how he talked to me. The restaurant has been wonderful until today and when I called and say something about this old, dry wood chicken this man gets an attitude with me. I got the grilled chicken salad the day before and it was piping hot, fresh and juicy. I even saved some of the chicken for later that day because I couldn't eat all of my salad at one time and the chicken was still juicy while being cold. So to, Brock, if I ever order from their again, I'll be sure to make sure that you are not working, because if you thought the chicken you prepared for me was fresh makes me question what I felt about the restaurant. Very unsatisfied customer.
