I arrived on time for my appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork. After that, I waited for about a hour or so to be seen . I felt that the doctor was very short and rude with me. I came in with concerns about recurrent hives. When the doctor came in it was almost as if he was going down a list he had made of questions to ask me. Every time I would try to further explain my symptoms and my background history, he'd cut me off. I wanted him to take a closer look at my hives because I thought they could be some form of eczema. He took a quick glance, said he didn't see anything and went on. Keep in mind my skin is on the darker side which makes my hives harder to notice but believe me at this point I was extremely itchy from the outbreak.
First impression: waited an hour to go back for our babies appointment. Finally get to the back and the condition of the facility is very poor. In the exam room everything seemed dirty/unclean. Nurse was nice but unprofessional. Doctor short and and uninformative. Didn't seem to care. If you are looking for a place for allergies I would go to another town like Jackson.
I love the staff here. They are very down to earth and always happy to see me. The new doctor, Dr. McMullan is also very sweet and attentive. I highly recommend anyone experiencing asthma or allergy related symtoms to come visit these guys. They are the best.
I usually don't write reviews but as I read the other reviews I feel like I need to. I have battled with a rash on my arms and the back of my knees off and on my whole life. It went away for about ten years after moving away from Louisiana but came back worse than I remember. I have gone to several doctors since it came back and none have been able to tell me what is causing the rash. They just give me medication or tell me to use certain soaps and detergents.
He ended up writing me 4 different prescriptions that I didn't even get filled because he left the room in such a rush that I didn't even fully understand what all of them were for. I was very very unhappy with the service that I received from this clinic. Maybe it was due to them being very busy during my appointment... I don't know.... but I won't be going back again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They really care about working to resolve my allergy issues whatever it takes! I feel well cared for here.
My mom made me come see Dr. Fokakis. At the first appointment he did have several questions trying to get an idea of what may be causing my rash and my answers did not help him much. Being seven months pregnant there is not much he can do right now. He did take a bunch of blood work and again tell me to use specific product on my skin, hair and clothing. He made me fell like he would not stop until he found me some relief from the constant itching and even find a cause. I am glad I found a doctor that seems to want to help me find the cause behind this and finally get answers and a clear direction to make me fell normal.
